Easter 2010

Here is Porter with his Easter basket from Papa Alexander. He was so excited. There were 2 cars in here which he loved. Thanks Papa Alexander!!!

Porter was so excited that the Easter Bunny came to see him. It was like Christmas morning. He was up very early and ready to go out to the living room and see what he brought him. Jeremy told Porter before we went out there that he needed to go check things out. He patiently sat on my lap until daddy came back in the room. He got so excited when Jeremy told him the bunny had indeed come and left him something. Porter wanted me to carry him out, but I put him down and when we got right out our room he stopped and started walking backwards. He didn't want to go out there. I explained that the Easter bunny was gone but that he had left him something. I had to hold his little hand till we got to the living room and he could see for himself that he was gone!!! He was so cute. When he saw what the Easter bunny had left him he just stood there. He finally walked up to the chair and started checking things out. Here he is with his Easter basket!!!

Porter LoVeD what the Easter bunny left him!!!!

Porter coloring his Easter eggs.
Next year we will have to color a lot more. Because he colored eggs at daycare, I thought we wouldn't color that many at home. WRONG idea. When he was done with the eggs he started re-coloring what he had already colored. Next year I will know better and we will have a couple dozen eggs :0)

This Easter was so much fun!! Because Porter was older he really got into it more that last year. We didn't get pictures of him hunting his eggs but he was so cute. He didn't really know what to do. But after he found them all we had to re hide them 2 times. After the first time he got the jest of it all!!!!
Lets not forget what Easter is...
I am so thankful for the sacrifice that was made for me and the opportunity that we have to live on this earth to strive to return to our Heavenly Father. I am so thankful for the Easter season, to take that time to reflect on our Savior.
Happy SPRING everyone!!!
